During our 3-day trip in Ba Be, we stayed at this home stay at the lake. The view from the terrace was breathtaking. The rooms were more than OK, with the needed A/C. The banana pancakes for breakfast were a nice surprise. But we mostly loved the hospitality of the guest family. The last evening, we were invited, together with our local guide and driver, to join them for dinner and of course the shots of rice wine. We were supposed to stay here for 2 nights, the room is very basic, which is to be expected when staying in a homestay. There are no hotels in the vicinity, so if you want to visit ba be lake, your only option is a home stay. One thing going for this home stay is that they offer private bathrooms, the mattresses are quite hard, that sleeping can be quite a challenge. This also is quite common in these kinds of accommodation. The terrace has a nice view on the lake. The dinner was ok, not the best but it was fine. In the morning the shower was cold, apparently this was due to an unexpected malfunction in the heating system, a reboot of this system fixed it. The breakfast was pretty good I must admit. The weather was not very good, so we didn't stay for the second night. It was simply too cold for our taste and not enough to do.

This is probably more of a backpackers place than what I'd think of as a homestay. A bit of a warren of stairs and slightly wobbly floors. Every time someone walked down the corridor past our room the whole place shook.||Food was good, all the staff were friendly and the place was clean. From what I've been told if you want to come to Ba Be lake then this is how you stay.

nous avons séjournes chez l'habitant ,merveilleux !!ballade sur le lac a la decouverte de la grotte ,la cascade et surtout les locaux qui vendent leurs produits ,poissons seches,fruits etc..pour finir dans un petit resto familiale...avec ses plats locaux magnifique
